An update on the LLM bot galore that brought my website down yesterday, trying to scrape the /git/ instance and testing my Perl CMS for WordPress vulnerabilities: I will shortly find a way to get to you.
It seems like three things are absolutely imperative for hosting anything public on the internet nowadays:
- Accurate traffic classification.
- Rate limits and priority/queued access tiers.
- Fast backends that don't serve too expensive things to people.
